Lighthouse - January 15, 2010
Once again, the Lady Conquerors laid down the law with great defense against Lighthouse. Cala Lomax ripped the boards down with eleven rebounds and scored six points. Brittany Burton had twelve points in the first quarter, putting the Conquerors in a strong lead. The Conquerors walked off the court with a 52-24 victory.
Evangel - January 12, 2010
The Lady Conquerors intimidated the Evangel Eagles by ending the first quarter 11-0. They kept a very strong defense and continued scoring, leading them to a 34-18 finish. Brittany Burton, with twenty points and fifteen rebounds, was named player of the game.
HOOPS CLASSIC Jan 8-9
Great Hope - January 8, 2010
The Lady Conquerors put the beat down on Great Hope in the first game of the Conquerors Hoops Classic. Great Hope kept the game close until the fourth quarter when the Conquerors toughened up their defense and Kinsey Fletcher got on a roll with backdoor cuts. Brook Morgan, player of the game, walked away with eight points, five assists, and nine steals.
Fairfax -January 9, 2010
The Conquerors had a victory against Fairfax (AGAIN), taking first place in the Hoops Classic tournament. The game was tied at the ends of the first and second quarters. The Conquerors pulled away in the second half due to great defense. Brittany Burton, the player of the game, was ballin’ with fourteen points, eleven rebounds, six steals, and five blocks.
Landmark - December 14, 2009
The Lady Conquerors finished the 1st half of the season with a road victory over Landmark 54-30. Brittany Burton had a “MONSTER” game with 26 points, 20 rebounds, and 8 blocked shots. The Conquerors led 13-11 at the end of the 1st period but took a commanding lead by halftime with solid defense and an effective fast break.
Lighthouse - December 12, 2009
Faith defeated Lighthouse 49-22. Kinsey Fletcher set the pace early with her outside shooting and we never looked back! Kinsey was the player of the game and led all scorers with 14 points. She also had 5 rebounds, 5 steals and 4 assists. Brittany Burton and Brook Morgan had strong games and scored 12 and 10 points respectively.
Fairfax - December 11, 2009
Faith defeated the reigning state champs Fairfax 37-23. Both teams struggled at the beginning and ended the half tied 6-6. Faith established their offense and exploded for 31 points in the 2nd half led by a strong performance behind Brittany Burton and Brook Morgan. Those two combined for an 11 for 11 shooting performance. Burton was the player of the game with 20 points, 17 rebounds, 5 steals and 6 blocked shots.
Heritage - December 7, 2009
The Lady Conquerors dropped a close game to Heritage 30-28. The Conquerors started out with a smothering defense which held Heritage to 1 point in the 1st quarter. Heritage fought back by the end of the 1st half and scored on a buzzer beater to take the lead at halftime 10-9. Heritage extended their lead by as much as 8 points but the Conquerors found their rhythm and tied the game at 28 apiece with less than 2 minutes remaining. Skinner sank 2 free throws with 18 seconds left to give Heritage the lead and the win. AshLynn Morgan was the player of the game with 6 pts, 6 rebounds and 2 assists.
Victory - November 30, 2009
The Lady Conquerors defeated Victory 36-13 led by strong performances of Cala Lomax and Brook Morgan. The Conquerors started slow but went on a 13-0 run in the 1st quarter to take the lead. Brook led all scorers with 12 points in the 1st half. Cala set the pace early on by establishing her outside shot. She finished with 8 points, 10 rebounds, 3 steals and 1 assist and was named the player of the game.
