Student Council
Class representatives along with the Student Council Officers promote school spirit by planning student body projects and special events. Member selection requires that the student is currently enrolled and has attended FBS for at least one semester, may not have 40 demerits or more (disciplinary probation) in the previous school year or current semester, and maintains a minimum 2.0 gpa.
Selection Criteria for Student Council

B. Vice President
1. Junior or Senior
2. Meet all qualifications
3. Job description
a. Fills in for President as needed
b. Cooperates with Presidential duties
C. Secretary
1. Sophomore, Junior, or Senior
2. Meet all qualifications
3. Job description
a. takes minutes for all meetings
b. handles communications
D. Treasurer
1. Sophomore, Junior, or Senior
2. Meet all qualifications
3. Job description
a. Keeps all financial records
b. Handles financial activity
E. Council Members
1. One member from each grade
a. 7th

c. 9th
d. 10th

II. Qualifications for Nomination
A. Spiritual
1. Faith in Christ as Savior
2. Demonstration of love and concern for others
3. Responsible attitude
4. Consistent maintenance of separation standards
5. Godly testimony
B. Academic
1. Must have a C average
2. Attentive in class
3. Homework goals consistently completed
4. Evidence of consistent preparation for tests
5. An active desire to acquire assistance when necessary
C. Other
1. May not have 40 demerits or more (disciplinary probation)
2. Must be involved in at least two of the following
i. Sports
1. Spectator at most games
2. Player at most games
3. Scorekeeper at most games
ii. Yearbook
iii. Cheerleading
iv. ODACS competitions
v. Chapel participation
1. specials
2. pledges
vi. School play
vii. Qualified extra-curricular activity (see faculty advisor)
